💙 Tomorrow (Thursday, April 2) is Autism Awareness Day, and we're showing our support by wearing BLUE! We invite all students and staff to join us in celebrating and honoring the incredible individuals in our community on the autism spectrum. Our 8th grade and Leader in Me students had an unforgettable learning experience during their recent field trip to the North Carolina Zoo! 🐘🌿

Students explored animals from both North America and Africa while observing the diverse ecosystems each species calls home. From watching elephants roam to spotting native wildlife, students were actively engaged in making real-world connections to what they’ve been learning in the classroom.

This incredible opportunity was made possible thanks to the NC Department of Natural and Cultural Resources Learning Happens Here Field Trip Fund, helping bring learning to life beyond the classroom!

Spring Picture Day

Date: Tuesday, March 17, 2026

Students will have the opportunity to take their Spring Photos during the school day.

BCS Families—

Due to the threat of severe weather in our area and out of an abundance of caution, Bladen County Schools will transition to an asynchronous remote learning day for students and an optional workday for staff tomorrow, Monday, March 16.

Asynchronous learning means that students will work independently on assignments that teachers have either posted in Canvas or Google Classroom.

Staff will receive information about the optional workday from their supervisors later this evening.

All after-school events and activities are cancelled for Monday, March 16. Additionally, the special-called Board of Education meeting scheduled for Monday has been postponed until Tuesday, March 17, at 6:30 PM.

Congratulations to the student-athletes who earned a spot on this year’s Tar Heel Panthers Baseball and Softball teams! Your hard work, dedication, and commitment have paid off, and we are excited to watch you compete this season.

Tonights Basketball Games will feature the following:
- 8th-grade recognition
- Homecoming

8th-grade recognition will take place immediately following the girls' game. Homecoming King and Queen crowning will take place at halftime of the boys' game.
